Director Astrid Salomon joins Truce

Director Astrid Salomon has joined Truce Films for representation across Australia and the APAC region, adding another distinctive talent to the company’s roster.

Says Michael Ciccone, head of production, Truce: “Astrid’s work is impressively exceptional. More importantly, we feel like she’s only just scratched the surface of her potential, which presents an exciting challenge for us to capitalise on that opportunity.”

Much of Salomon’s commercial reel showcases a beautiful, cinematic quality – such as in spots for Amorelie, Lifestyles, and Aperol – while her more recent work for Maltesers shows she has a playful, comedic range too.

Beginning her career in fashion photography, Salomon’s stunning editorial work appeared in Vogue, Glamour, and Elle, before she made the transition to film. She’s since worked across the globe for a client list that also includes Nivea, Lindt, Target and LIDL.

Ciccone said the partnership between Truce and Salomon has come at the perfect time: “We’re keen to help Astrid realise her ambitious goals. We first met her three years ago, and we’d been keeping tabs on her work ever since.

“It feels as though the stars are aligning for all of us. To acquire a director of Astrid’s obvious talent is just further proof of our growth as a production company.”

Salomon says she’s thrilled to be working with Truce and is excited to keep building momentum with the company: “Truce are very involved and personal with their directors and they really take the time to understand you and your work, which I appreciate.
